John Bloor is a new print designer undergoing a major career change. After working as a graphic designer and illustrator for the past 20 years, trying to cope with having Aspergers, he decided to make a move to working for himself creating entirely new ranges of hand printed homewares.
In the Farm Yarns range, John draws upon his love of the English patchwork countryside, with fields, hedgerows and animals shown in a style which sits somewhere between focal and pattern.
Farm Yarns lampshade sare 30cm diameter, 25cm deep, priced at £55 RRP + postage. Farm Yarns cushions are 45cm square including duck feather pad, priced at £45 RRP each.
In the Cover Story range, trees are imagined in a semi abstract style, again somewhere between focal and pattern. In his horizontal design, used on the lampshade, Winter wind blows leaves while badgers forage for food. With his square and vertical designs, Spring canopies of leaves and Autumnal fallen leaves and seed pods are illustrated.
Cover Story lampshades are 30cm diameter, 25cm deep, priced at £55 RRP + postage. Cover Story cushions are 45cm square including duck feather pad, priced at £45 RRP each.
All lampshades and cushions are hand screen printed with environmentally friendly water based inks onto 100% natural linen.
John is continuing to develop these ranges with more homewares products and also developing new ranges for 2016.
