Mixing Ink

Today I’ve sorted out another important part of printing these ranges – getting the colours exactly as I designed them. The first lampshade test prints were pretty good but the yellow was too bright and the dark blue was too dark.

In order to mix these Permatone inks properly I had to invest in some really accurate scales, so I could measure each bit of ink I added and then work out the final percentages of each colour and I’m happy to say it all has gone really well, all colours are now correct so I should be able to mix them accurately every time.
