Coastal and holiday prints buyer's guide
If you holiday in the West Country or around the coast of Britain and want to remember these places, John has made many prints of locations special to him and maybe they are to you too.
These prints capture the beauty of the places including harbours, landscapes and buildings, many with unusual viewpoints.

Prints for your holiday home
There are views of the harbours of Mevagissey, Coverack and Crail. Coverack was a two colour linocut which was extremely popular and has long been sold out but is now available as a digital print.
Coverack View in the shop
You will find an unusual viewpoint of St. Ives with a view over the rooftops towards the harbour. It incorporates many different hand made textures and is a vibrant, sunny print.

Landscapes
If it's landscapes you like, John has created prints of Boscastle, Portloe and the rock stack at Tintagel. Portloe captures the beauty of the windswept headland and buildings nestled in the natural harbour.

Looking away from the sea are views of the houses at the harbour at Mousehole and Robin Hood's Bay. Hang one in your holiday home or hang one at home to remind you of your special place.
John has also made prints of inland Britain, such as his hand screened print of Dartmoor showing many of the well known landmarks and features.

Working people
Perhaps you are inspired by traditional jobs around the British coast, such as fishing, cockling, repairing boats and nets. Going inland there are dry stone wallers and thatchers. John loves making prints of working people.
These prints might also suit a building which was once a working building such as a barn or mill.

Coastal paths
Britain has some amazing coastal paths, going around the whole country and maybe a coastal path on your wall would be a lovely reminder of a favourite walk, or inspire you to visit more coastal paths.

Places from the imagination
One of John's favourite things is to make scenes from his imagination, based on elements he has seen around the coast and on holiday. He often takes photographs of elements and incorporates them into these prints to create spaces that feel safe and hidden.

John will be making more coastal and holiday prints soon, but if there's somewhere you'd like to suggest for him to make a print of please let us know!
