This Wooden Harbour scene is made from 4mm poplar plywood and is completely hand printed by John in five colours. It is based on all the harbours we have visited but it is not specifically of any one harbour.
It is 35cm long by 25cm high and features three layers to make a 3D scene of four pieces all slotting into a hand printed base.
It will come flat, wrapped in tissue, expanding brown paper, in a cardboard box, and then wrapped in brown paper for postage.
If you find the pieces tight to fit in the base, push one end in first and then the rest of the piece.
I have long been inspired by the beaches and harbours of England, the houses, boats, rocks, stones and various textures which can be found in these locations and the feeling of safety they give.
Please note: these scenes are made from plywood and sometimes the wood shows through where the surface is not perfectly flat.
